4. Data collection on this website

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources.

This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of the website – for this purpose, the server log files must be recorded.

If you contact us by email, your request including all resulting personal data (name, request) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass on this data without your consent. The contact form on this website only opens your email app; your input is neither transmitted to nor stored on our server.

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request is related to the fulfilment of a contract or is necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in effectively handling the requests sent to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) if this has been requested; consent can be revoked at any time.

The data you send us via contact requests will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to its storage or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.

On your first visit, the matching language version (German or English) is displayed automatically based on your browser's language setting; no data is stored in the process. If you change the language using the language switcher, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage (localStorage) so that the website appears in your chosen language on your next visit. This information is not transmitted to our server or evaluated. Storing it is strictly necessary to provide the service you have expressly requested (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete it at any time via your browser settings.
